Generator maintenance and service plans keep your standby generator in working condition year-round, since a generator that hasn't been maintained is a generator that might not start when you actually need it during an outage – exactly the wrong time to discover a problem.
We provide ongoing maintenance for Silver Spring, MD homeowners and businesses who want peace of mind that their generator will actually work when the power goes out, rather than finding out otherwise during an emergency. This is especially important for generators that sit unused for long stretches between outages, since fuel, batteries, and components can degrade without regular attention.
Our maintenance visits typically include checking and changing oil and filters, testing the battery and charging system, inspecting fuel lines and connections for wear or leaks, and running the generator under load to confirm it's actually performing as expected, not just starting up. We check the transfer switch operation during these visits too, since a generator that runs fine but doesn't switch over properly is just as much of a problem. Service plans typically run on a scheduled basis, so you're not left tracking maintenance timing yourself.
Cost depends on your generator size and the maintenance plan frequency you choose.
